Two touching Stories

Story 1:
There was once this guy who was very much in love with his girl.
This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.
Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future doesn't seem too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways there and then... Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself.
Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company. You never fail until you stop trying. One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched.It didn't take him long to realize they were his girl's parents.
With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had his own company, car, condo, etc.
He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking towards a cemetery, and so he got out of his car and followed ... and he saw his girl, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...
Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all.
She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle ... therefore she had chosen to leave him. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again ... he can take some of those back with him... Once you have loved, you will always love. For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.
The guy just wept.....The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside her knowing you can't have her, see her or be with her ever again.........hope you understand. Find time to realise that there is one person who means so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you.
Story 2: KINDNESS Pays !
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.
However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to giveup and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.
When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.
He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these words......"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

When you are 60 years old...

“There are 1000-year old trees in the woods, but not many 100 year-old man on Earth”

Assuming you are 60 years old now after working your whole life for you company.
At the most, you live until 100 years old (only 1 in 100,000).
If you live until 90, you only have 30 years to go.
If you live until 80, you only have 20 years to go.

Since you don’t have many years to live, and you can’t bring along things when you go, you don’t have to be too thrifty!

Spend the money that should be spent, enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate, but don’t leave all to your children or grandchildren, for you don’t want them to become “parasites”.

Don’t worry about what will happen after you are gone, because when you return to dust, you will feel nothing about praises or criticisms.

Don’t worry too much about your children for “children will have their own destiny and find their own way. Don’t be your children’s slave”.

Don’t expect too much from your children. Caring children, though caring, would be too busy with their jobs and commitments to render any help.

Uncaring children may fight over your assets even when you are still alive, and wish for your early demise so they can inherit your properties.

Your children take for granted that they are rightful heirs to your wealth; but you have no claims to their money.

60-year olds like you, don’t trade in your health for wealth anymore;
Because your money may not be able to buy your health. Silly men earn money when they are young and then use the money to buy health when they are old and sick!

When to stop making money, and how much is enough (hundred thousands, million, Billion)?

“Out of thousand hectares of good farm land, you can only consume three quarts (of rice) daily; out of a thousand of mansions, you only need eight square meters of space to rest at night”.

So as long as you have enough food and enough money to spend, that is good enough.

So you should live happily. Every family has its own problems. Just do not compare with others for fame and social status and see whose children are doing better, etc. but challenge others for happiness, health and longevity.
Don’t worry about things that you can’t change because it doesn’t help and it may spoil your health.

I may not be rich but I am wealthy… if there are more important things to do, do it…

I have seen a lot of hard working people , working whole life like a dog for the company, (Sorry I am a dog lover, does not mean dog life is tough, I mean his life is worse than the dog’s) his wife, kids and saved up a lot of money from not drinking, not even buying a decent watch for himself as a reward, keep using the old shabby suits for years to receive old-man-honour (long servicing reward in a company) from the CEO, hardly seeing his smile as he never have enough saving for their children…Never Drive a Porsche, never had a chance to taste the French Greatest Creation a Bottle of good Lafite or Latour, never know what a good Record of the 50’s could sound so good that can cause you to tear! Never go to cinema with his beloved, no candle light dinner with his mistress… Well,  even though he has 1,000,000,000 in the bank account…that is the Money of the bank not yours!

You have to create your own well-being and find your own happiness;
As long as you are in good mood, think about happy things, do happy things daily and have fun in doing, then you will pass your time happily every day.
One day passes, you will lose one day;
One day passes with happiness, and then you gain one day.
In good spirit, sickness will cure; in good spirit, sickness will cure fast; in good spirit; sickness will never come.
With good mood, suitable amount of exercise, always in the sun, variety of foods, reasonable amount of vitamin
and mineral intake, hopefully you will live another 20 or 30 years healthy life.

15 grams of Love

How much Love I possess before and after I die? Someone says that when one dies, immediately the weight is losing 15 grams.. That is the weight of the Soul. How about love?... I guess if I died I will lose another 15 grams as my love will go away as my soul does. 3 grams for my mother, 2 grams for my father, 1 gram for my brother and sisters, 1 gram for first wife, 0.5 gram for my 2nd wife, 1 gram for 3rd wife, 2 grams for my first elder daughter. 3 grams for my girl friend who takes care me well, 0.5 gram for my watches, 0.5 gram for my LP and Hi Fi, 0.5 gram for my boss who promoted me twice. When your beloved people are still around, don't miss any chance to go say “ I love You!” today! HK Snob
