Fact about dental floss, how does it help to keep your
life Longer!?

Every 6-12 months, you visit the dentist for a cleaning --
and likely a lecture about the importance of flossing. But if you're like many
dental patients, the advice travels in one ear and out the other -- much like,
well, dental floss gliding between the spaces of your teeth.

"There is no instant gratification with flossing --
that's the problem," says Alla Wheeler, RDH, MPA, associate professor of
the Dental Hygiene Program at the New York University School of Dentistry.
"Patients don't think it does anything."

But flossing does about 40% of the work required to remove food
residues, sticky bacteria, or plaque, from your teeth. Plaque generates acid,
which can cause cavities, irritate the gums, and lead to gum disease.
"Each tooth has five surfaces. If you don't floss, you are leaving at
least two of the surfaces unclean," Wheeler explains. "Floss is the
only thing that can really get into that space between the teeth and remove bacteria."

Daily Flossing Can Add 6.4 Years To Your Life

As the Baby Boom generation ages there is more and more
concern about the cost of care for the future aged... and, in fact, aging in
general. For a generation that swore they would never want to live to be more
than 30 this generation is approaching and passing 50 all the while hoping for
many more years. Thirty is a distant memory.

Partly to satisfy this concern for such a large part of our
citizenry, there are a slew of books, seminars, and tapes about how to stay
healthier and live longer. One of the most recent and most interesting is a
book by Michael F. Roizen, MD. Dr. Roizen's book is called "RealAge",
and the general concept is to calculate how old a person is actually (compared
to averages and actuarial tables) based to a great degree upon choices he/she
makes about lifestyle, eating, exercise, etc.

In particular, there is a section on dental health, and I
quote, "These studies show that the presence of periodontal diseases,
diseases most common in people with tooth loss, actually affects longevity. The
best of these studies done at Emory University with the Centers for Disease
Control, indicated that people with gingivitis and periodontitis have a
mortality rate that is 23 percent to 46 percent higher than those who don't...
why? They are linked to increased rates of cardiovascular disease and stroke,
as well as to an increase in mortality from other causes, such as infections.

On flossing, the book states that, "Flossing your teeth
daily can make your arteries younger. The probable reason: Flossing helps keep
your immune system young... the same bacteria that cause periodontal disease
also trigger an immune response, inflammation, that causes the arteries to
swell. The swelling of the arterial walls results in a constriction of blood
flow that can lead to a higher incidence of cardiovascular disease. Other
studies have shown that periodontal disease leads to a higher white blood cell
count, which is an indicator that the immune system is under increased
stress.... Poor oral hygiene and particularly increased tooth loss are
important indicators of your risk. The fewer teeth you have, the greater your
risk of gum infections."

Incidentally, according to Dr. Roizen, men who have regular
sex in a happy monogamous heterosexual relationship and who eat lots (not
overeating) of pizza, marinara sauce, and spaghetti can add an additional 5
years to their lives... just floss after eating, and don't smoke after sex.

Other Experts

Longevity expert Dr Roger Henderson says, 'Flossing every
day means not only could you still have a full set of teeth as a centenarian,
but your dental hygiene may have helped you to get to such an age.'

I have blogged an article about 10 years ago saying that
stop Smoking keep your younger, use dental floss 7 times a week make your life
longer for 5 years.

Don’t challenge me for how to get those data, as there is
difficulties to calculate by not doing flossing..

Well, there is over 1,000 types of bacteria in your mouth
and Flossing will remove some of them and preventing them to go into your blood
stream. Why not start to use dental floss.

Well, I carry a case of dental floss with me, I think Dental
floss works better in cleaning the gap between teeth where by those food
restudies locked up there. Use of too pick will have high chance to damages you
gum, Dental floss will not.

I am 60 years ago and I have been using dental floss more than
30 years, I have not lost any one of my teeth…

Cops Hunt the killer of Mathew Caldwell

of MANILA, Philippines—Police are now hunting a security guard at Hamilton Heights Subdivision in Las Piñas City who fled after shooting dead an American diver who helped in the retrieval of the body of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo who was killed in a plane crash off Masbate in August last year.

Police identified Ericson Elacquio of the South Star Security Agency as the primary suspect in the killing of Matthew Caldwell, 59, around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. 15 Aug 2013.

A spot report from Chief Inspector Eddie Galang of the Las Piñas police said Elacquio shot Caldwell during an argument at the gates of the subdivision.

Caldwell and his live-in partner, Jeanelyn Flora, 36, were in their Toyota Corolla on their way home when Elacquio barred them entry, arguing the couple had not paid their monthly dues to homeowners association.

The couple got off the car to confront the security guard, with Caldwell attempting to raise the wooden boom at the gate, prompting Elacquio to draw his gun and shoot Caldwell pointblank in the face.

Elacquio escaped with another security guard on a commandeered red motorcycle with plate number IA-4929.

The Philippine Coast Guard said Caldwell was one of the foreign technical divers who helped in the search for and retrieval of Robredo’s body from the wreck of his chartered plane.

Las Piñas police identified Caldwell as director of a company called Allegro Mircosystems.

I felt sad as I had talked to him the same day at front door of Allegro at 1600 as I was about to visit some of the Allegro directors. Matthew has been working in Allegro since 1989 and he was the test director for Allegro. He is such a nice decent man through the discussion with him.

Hope we can hunt the killer and wish Mathew rest in peace!
Story 1:
There was once this guy who was very much in love with his girl.
This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.
Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future doesn't seem too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways there and then... Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself.
Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company. You never fail until you stop trying. One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize they were his girl's parents.
With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had his own company, car, condo, etc.
He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking towards a cemetery, and so he got out of his car and followed ... and he saw his girl, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...
Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all.
She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle ... therefore she had chosen to leave him. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again ... he can take some of those back with him... Once you have loved, you will always love. For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.
The guy just wept.....The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside her knowing you can't have her, see her or be with her ever again.........hope you understand. Find time to realise that there is one person who means so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you.
Story 2: KINDNESS Pays !
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house.
However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to giveup and quit.

Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation.
When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her.
He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these words......"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Midway through the journey, 3 armed thugs was eyeing the pretty young lady bus driver.
They forced the bus to stop and wanted to have fun with the driver!
The woman driver naturally shouted for help, but all the rest of the passengers just kept quiet. Except…a weakly looking middle-aged man came forth to ask the 3 men to stop; but he was instead beaten up.
The man was very angry and appealed loudly to the other passengers to stop this uncivilized act but nobody responded. And the driver was dragged down by the 3 men to the bushes nearby.
An hour later, the 3 thugs and the ruffled driver came back to the bus and the driver is ready to drive off again...
'Hey you, get down the bus!' the woman driver shouted to the man who tried to assist her earlier on.
The man was bewildered and said: 'What's wrong with you? I was trying to save you just now and was I wrong in doing so?'
'You save me? What have you done to save me?'
The driver retorted, and a few of the passengers were quietly laughing away.
The man was really pissed off. Even though he did not have the power to save her, he should not be given this treatment at all.. He refused to get down the bus and said; 'I paid for the trip and I have the right to remain seated here!
The driver put on a grim face and said: 'If you don't get down, the bus will not move on.'
What was unexpected was that the passengers, who were oblivious to the barbaric act of the thugs just now, suddenly woke up and in a concerted effort asked the man to get down the bus saying:
'You might as well get off the bus, we have things to attend to and cannot afford anymore delays!'
A few stronger passenger were indeed trying to drag the man down the bus.
The 3 thugs were smiling knowingly at each other and commented: 'We must have done a great job to the lady!'
After much ado, the man's luggage was thrown out the bus window and he was ousted out of the bus.
The bus started on its journey again. The driver straightened up her hair and turned the radio to full volume.
The bus was reaching the hill top and will go downhill after a turn.
The right side of the bus was facing an unfathomable cliff…
The speed of the bus increased promptly. The driver's face was very calm with both hands gripping tight on the steering wheel. Tears started to swell in her eyes...
One of the thug realized something amiss and said to the driver:
'Drive slowly, what are you trying to do?'
The driver said nothing, but the bus traveled faster and faster.
The thug tried to grip hold of the steering wheel, but the bus shoot towards the cliff like an arrow leaving the bow.
The next day, the local paper reported a tragic accident at the 'Tiger Taming Hill' region.
A medium sized bus fell through the cliff and the driver and the 13 passengers were all killed.
The man who was chased down the bus saw the paper and cried. Nobody knew what was he crying about and why he cried!
Finally, she looked, and something caught her attention on the side as she read these words......"Paid in full with one glass of milk." She must be feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid. Because that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have failed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my child, and failed to be the good dad and mum for my child.
There was one particular day, when I had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that there was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after informing my sleepy child.
With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as when I am home. So after the long day, I came home, totally exhausted. So with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into the room, skipping dinner. I jumped into my bed with intention of just having a well-deserved sleep, all I heard and felt was broken porcelain and warm liquid! I flipped open my blanket, and there lies the source of the 'problem'... a broken bowl with instant noodles and a mess on the bed sheet and blanket!
Man, was I mad! I was so furious that I took a clothes hanger, charged straight at my child who was happily playing with his toy, and give him a good spanking! He merely cried but not asking for mercy, except a short explanation:
"Dad, I was hungry and there wasn't anymore leftover rice. But you were not back yet, hence I wanted to cook some instant noodles. But I remembered you reminding me not to touch or use the gas stove without any adults around, hence I turned on the shower and used the hot water from the bathroom to cook the noodles. One is for you and the other is for me. I was afraid that the noodles will turn cold, so I hid it under the blanket to keep it warm till you return. But I forgot to remind you 'cos I was playing with my toys...I am sorry Dad..."
At that moment, tears were starting to run down my cheeks...but I didn't want my son to see his dad crying so I dashed into the bathroom and cried with the shower head on to mask my cries. After that episode, I went towards my son to give him a tight hug and applied medication on him, while coaxing him to sleep. Then, it was time to clear up the mess on the bed. When everything was done and well past midnight, I passed my son's room, and saw that he was still crying, not from the pain on his little buttock, but from looking at the photograph of his beloved mummy.
A year has passed since that episode, I have tried, in this period, to focus on giving him both the love of his dad and mum, and to attend to most of his needs. And soon, he is turning seven, and will be graduating from kindergarten. Fortunately, the incident did not leave a lasting impression on his childhood memories and he is still happily growing up.
However, not so long ago, I hit my boy again, with much regret. This time, his kindergarten teacher called, informing me of my son's absence from school. I took off early from work and went home, expecting him to explain. But he wasn't to be found, so I went around our house, calling out his name and eventually found him outside a stationery shop, happily playing computer games. I was fuming, brought him home and whack the hell out of him. He did not retaliate, except to say, 'I am sorry, Dad'. But after much probing, I realized that it was a 'Talent Show' organized by his school and the invite is for every student's mummy. And that was the reason for his absence as he has no mummy...
Few days after the caning, my son came home to tell me, the kindergarten has recently taught him how to read and write. Since then, he has kept to himself and stayed in his room to practise his writing, which I am sure, would make my wife proud, if she was still around. 'Because he makes me proud too!
Time passes by very quickly, and soon another year has passed. It's winter, and its Christmas time. Everywhere the Christmas spirit is in every passer-by...Christmas carols and frantic shoppers....but alas, my son got into another trouble. When I was about to knock off from the day's work, the post office called. Due to the peak season, the post master was also on an edgy mood. He called to tell me that my son has attempted to post several letters with no addressee. Although I did make a promise never to hit my son again, I couldn't help but to hit him as I feel that this child of mine is really beyond control. Once again, as before, he apologized, ' I'm sorry, Dad' and no additional reason to explain. I pushed him towards a corner, went to the post office to collect the letters with no addressee and came home, and angrily questioned my son on his prank, during this time of the year.
His answer, amidst his sobbing, was : The letters were for Mummy.
My eyes grew teary, but I tried to control my emotions and continued to ask him: " But why did you post so many letters, at one time?" My son's reply was: "I have been writing to mummy for a long time, but each time I reach out for the post box, it was too high for me, hence I was not able to post the letters. But recently, when I went back to the postbox, I could reach it and I sent it all at once..."
After hearing this, I was lost. Lost at not knowing what to do, what to say......
I told my son, "Son, mummy is in the heavenly Kingdom, so in future, if you have anything to tell her, just burn the letter and it will reach mummy. My son, on hearing this, was much pacified and calm, and soon after, he was sleeping soundly. On promising that I will burn the letters on his behalf, I brought the letters outside, but could not help opening the letter before they turn to ash.
And one of the letters broke my heart....
Dear Mummy,
I miss you so much! Today, there was a 'Talent Show' in school, and the school invited all mothers for the show. But you are not around, so I did not want to participate as well. I did not tell Dad about it as I was afraid that Dad would start to cry and miss you all over again. Dad went around looking for me, but in order to hide my sadness, I sat in front of the computer and started playing games at one of the shops. Dad was furious, and he could not help it but scolded and hit me, but I did not tell him the real reason. Mummy, everyday I see Dad missing you and whenever he think of you, he is so sad and often hide and cry in his room. I think we both miss you very much. Too much for our own good I think. But Mummy, I am starting to forget your face. Can you please appear in my dreams so that I can see your face and remember you? I heard that if you fall asleep with the photograph of the person whom you miss, you will see the person in your dreams. But mummy, why haven’t you appear?
After reading the letter, I can’t stop sobbing. 'For I can never replace the irreplaceable gap left behind by my wife....
For the females with children:
Don't do so much overtime. If you cannot finish the work, it must be some kind of problems within the company, and it is not your sole problem. Feedback to your boss. Endless overtime may not necessary be the answer to the problem. Take care of your health so that you can treasure and take care of your little precious.
For the married men:
Drink less, smoke less, as nothing can replace your good health, not even business nor clients.
Try thinking this way, are you able to work till your clients are totally dependent on you? or your boss is totally dependent on you? In this society, no one is indispensable.
Take care of your health, so that you can take care of your little precious and your loved ones.
For those singles out there:
Beauty lies in loving yourself first.
With confidence and loving yourself, you will see the beauty in other things around you. You will be able to work better and happier. Don't let your health be affected by your work or your boss, so nothing matters more than your well being.

This needs to be passed around to everyone who has the keys to a vehicle. This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that we''ve ever seen and damn well made.
I think that Australia should be complemented on having the guts to "tell it like it is" and get this campaign out to all of its licensed drivers and to air it on TV...it is very moving and very life like…it has a very strong impact.

Do something nice for someone in secret.

Find out what you can do for your community, then do it.

For every compliant you make, think of three reason to be thankful.

Gratitude is the sign of change of heart

Let tomorrow worries about itself… Today.. live…

Listen to the music today and thanks heaven the gift of it

Make a list of regret and burn it and thank heaven we can start again.

Read about the countries you are unfamiliar with and pray for their people.

Six feet on earth makes all men equal

Six of one and half a dozen the other

So far so good

Sometimes the best game is to lose

Sorrow makes the silence the best orator

Sorrow will pay no debt

Small profit, quick return

Sitting your place and none can make you rise.

If you marry a good wife, you are Complete…

And If you marry a bad wife, you are Finished.
And if you marry a bad wife, devorced and marry again for the second time, but found that your wife is even worst than the first one, you are Completely Finished!
PS. I always mentioned to friends, that if you marry a good wife, you will become a poet, and if you marry a bad wife, you will become a philosopher.HK Snobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08536534182778116744noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7324416426544163987.post-71921465839067282952010-12-05T07:09:00.000-08:002010-12-05T07:09:10.898-08:00用幽默的心來「轉化」負面情緒能給對方讚美,就能給自己肯定,自然就能創造雙贏,事事亨通了。
Don’t wait until we can not even walk just to be sorry and to be regret.
As long as it is physically possible visit places you wish to visit, have you heard about the book “1000 places you have to go before you die”…!? Howe many places you have been there, 10 or 22? Is that Life Is for? Working all days long, screaming the subordinates because they made mistake that you had made before…Scolding your Material Control colleagues that you think they did not do the work properly and cause the delay of the machine to your customers? Believing that you may not be as good a style is, as least not as good experience as they are in their role of works! Try to wear their shoes and be a good man to see their difficulties! Don’t yell all the days and shoot up you blood pressure!
When there is opportunity, get together with your old school mates, classmates, old friend and relative for a chat, drinks and dinner and share their joys with yours. Close your gnikcuf Note Book PC and leave home at 5 to play with you kids sometimes…
Money kept in the bank may not really be yours even there are made up of 11 digits... this is numbers only.
When it is time to spend, just spend it. Treat yourself as well as you are getting old. Share your money with the one you love… or mistress 2nd, 3rd, 4th we do not care... as they are borne to come to your world to enjoy with you "spending…"
If you Pass TSL goldsmith and see a nude diamond of emerald cut with size of your finger tip, go and buy it and send to your most beloved one, who care she is a woman just meet for three days, your mother, sister or even a man….Just do it for the sake of ten seconds of pleasure and happiness to see their gesture of Satisfaction, mesmerizing on you, as you may have time to do it just once… in this Universe…
Whoever our feel like to eat, just goes and eat. It is most important thing to keep you happy. If food that are goof for health, eat often but that is not everything. If things are not good for health, eat less once in a while but do not abstain from them totally.
Treat sickness with Optimism. Whenever you are rich or poor, everyone has to get through the human life process; Birth, Aging, sickness, and death.
There is no exception as that is life. Do not afraid or worry when n you are sick, leave your body to the doctor and Let the God/nature to handle your life, But you must in charge your moods!
Settle the outstanding issues; leave you things to your beloved. And you can leave it without any regret.
Our kids will make their own future… Do not worry about them…
Don’t worry about it, if you had too much money do not know where to go, just send them to the Red Cross, Oxfam, Sowers action, Green Power, or China to support the earthquake recovery programme, if there is still some money, give it to the beggar who has been staying in front of the road asking money, but you had never give him a dime and pretended to not able to catch the eye sight,, walked faster to show that you was busy. You have done enough that kind of shows already! .It is time for you to do something by real actions, give your donations or pension fund all to the charity! Money is sin, and money is dirty, use it all today to help the poor people that really needs them! There are a lot sacred hearts waiting to say “thank you” to you! Make a day the greatest day you could experience wouldn't be kind to you?
If you know you will die in 50 days, that would be very nice! Make a joke to the bank I called “How Shit the Bank Could be”, go and use your maximum credit limit to buy something valuable for your best Friend! Make her a surprise, and leave the bill to the gnikcuf bank manager to write off later after your death!
An amazing story of what she has suffered and will bear the rest of her life.
This is Jacqueline Saburido on September 19, 1999 ..

The car in which Jacqueline traveled. She was hit by another car that was driven by a 17-year old male student on his way home after drinking a couple of hard packs with his friends.
Jacqueline was caught in the burning car and her body was heavily burnt during around 45 seconds.
After the accident Jacqueline has needed over 40 operations.
Now 20 years old, he cannot forgive himself for driving drunk on that night three years ago.
Let's make as many people as we can aware of the consequences of drinking & driving.

Remind your kid for safe driving especially in Christmas, New Year... Do you still remember a drunken Lorry driver killed 6 men coming from 6 families in a taxi to work just before the Chinese new year... Who Can forgive him! Who will forgive you if you had drunk and caused the accident to kill someone' father or brother? Don't drink when you drive!
