It does not matter whom you marry with, as she will look and behave differently after wake up!

Don’t be silly that there is love, they are only trades of family relation and stock for your hope tomorrow.
Don’t fear Pressure as it turns Rusted stone into Diamond.

Believe your life is worth living, your believe will make your life Happy.
Whenever you go, take your whole heart along

Heal the past, live the present, dream the tomorrow.

The Key of happiness is having a dream, The key to success if to make the dream comes true.

Lies of My Mother

This story begins when I was a child: I was born in a poor family. Often we hadn'tenough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me herportion of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say "Eat this rice, son! I'm not hungry."This was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fishes, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother
would sit beside me and eat the what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten, My heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, "Eat this fish, son! I don't really like fish."
This was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to
bring home some used matchboxes, which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, "Mother, go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning." Mother smiled and said "Go to sleep, son! I'm not tired."This was Mother's Third Lie.

When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her.. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother's love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration, I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said "Drink, son!I'm not thirsty!".
This was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Ourfamily's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeingour family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my housecame to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighborssaw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother tomarry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying "I don't need love."This was Mother's Fifth Lie.

After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my oldMother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morningjust to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she wassteadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, "I have enoughmoney."That was Mother's Sixth Lie.

I continued my part-time studies for my engineering Degree. Funded by theDutch Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. Witha big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life inHolland but Mother didn't want to bother her son; she said to me "I'mnot used to high living."That was Mother's Seventh Lie.

In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who wasbedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, "Don'tcry, son! I'm not in pain."That was Mother's Eighth Lie.
.....

For those people who are lucky to be still blessed with your Mothers presence,
Tell your mother, “ I love You” and please care about your mother!!

Attitude is everything

John is the kind of guy you love to hate...

He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, 'If I were any better, I would be twins!' He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, 'I don't get it!' 'You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?'

He replied, 'Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood I choose to be in a good mood.' Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or....I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life. 'Yeah, right, it's not that easy,' I protested. 'Yes, it is,' he said. 'Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood.

The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life.' I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.. Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.. I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins....Wanna see my scars?' I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place. 'The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,' he replied. 'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live.' 'Weren't you scared?

Did you lose consciousness?' I asked. He continued, '....the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared.

In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action.' 'What did you do?' I asked. 'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,' said John. 'She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied..' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply.. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.' He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude...

I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.' Matthew 6:34.

After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

The Brick

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, 'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing?

That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money Why did you do it?' The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,'

He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop...' With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. 'It's my brother, 'he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.

A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door.

He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: 'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!' God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day:
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

Send this to every 'beautiful person' you wish to bless.
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Prayers at the Opening session of Senate

Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate.
It seems prayer still upsets some people.. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem..

We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.
In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story, and receive d a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'
Nowadays , there are a lot twisted saying about what the older people we used to believe to be right and what to be wrong! What we appreacite a good man is not his heart, but his money..
We appreaciate a lady by her beauty and appearance only, does not matter she is well been edcuated at all or she is having that kind of complaisance.
Young model can be a hit once if she is pretty, long queue at the book show for model's photo album, but no one seemed to be insterested in some kind of books that is created for teachign us what good or bad is... The world is becoming skin deep, most of the people judges people by their suit but not their speech!

We Only Live Once!

No point earning so much money you cannot live to spend it.

No point using limited life to chase unlimited money, the heaven does not accept such kind of cash!

Money is not yours until you spend it.

Where is not enough time for life, but a lot of money waiting, where do you choose to go?

When you are young, you use your health to exchange your money; when you are getting old, you use your money to buy back your health. Difference is that, it is too late!

How happy a man is, is not how much he has but how little he needs

No point working so hard to provide for the people you have no time to spend with.

Don’t confuse with wealthy and richness, everyone can be rich but only a few is classified wealthy.

So the Moral of today:
Do not force yourself to do things impossible!

Relax and be a healthy man

There are Three Staff gone Dead in less than Two Months, is this one episode of life!...or...
A sign of warning to those 1,000 staff in the building who are still alive!?

So, go back home and play wiht your kids, kiss you wife whenever you can, say "I love You! " Loud to your mother and Father...

Bring them for Dim Sum Sunday Morning.... celebrate the important event with them...with good food yon can afford today!

Don't be stingy, as one day, we may have no one to share the joy, laughters of life with you...

Irreplaceable

A story worth sharing 4 years ago, an accident took my beloved away and very often I wonder, how does my wife, who is now in the heavenly realm, feel right now? She must be feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid.
B'cos that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have failed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my child, and failed to be the dad and mum for my child.

There was one particular day, when I had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that there was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after informing my sleepy child. With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as when I am home.

So after a long day, I came home, totally drained of all energy. So with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into the room, skipping dinner. However, when I jumped into my bed with intention of just having a well-deserved sleep, all i heard and felt was broken porcelain and warm liquid! I flipped open my blanket, and there lies the source of the 'problem'... a broken bowl with instant noodles and a mess on the bedsheet and blanket!Boy, was I mad! I was so furious that I took a clothes hanger, charged straight at my child who was happily playing with his toy, and give him a good spanking!

He merely cried but not asking for mercy, except a short explanation:"Dad, I was hungry and there wasn't anymore leftover rice. But you were not back yet, hence I wanted to cook some instant noodles. But I remembered you reminding me not to touch or use the gas stove without any adults around, hence I turned on the shower and used the hot water from the bathroom to cook the noodles. One is for you and the other is for me. However, I was afraid that the noodles will turn cold, so I hid it under the blanket to keep it warm till you return. But I forgot to remind you 'cos I was playing with my toys...I am sorry Dad..."

At that moment, tears were starting to run down my cheeks...but I didn't want my son to see his dad crying so I dashed into the bathroom and cried with the shower head on to mask my cries. After that episode, I went towards my son to give him a tight hug and applied medication on him, while coaxing him to sleep. Then, it was time to clear up the mess on the bed. When everything was done and well past midnight, I passed my son's room, and saw that he was still crying, not from the pain on his little buttock, but from looking at the photograph of his beloved mummy.

A year has passed since the episode, I have tried, in this period, to focus on giving him both the love of his dad and mum, and to attend to most of his needs. And soon, he is turning seven, and will be graduating from kindergarten. Fortunately, the incident did not leave a lasting impression on his childhood memories and he is still happily growing up.

However, not so long ago, I hit my boy again, with much regret. This time, his kindergarten teacher called, informing me of my son's absence from school. I took off early from work and went home, expecting him to explain. But he wasn't to be found, so I went around our house, calling out his name and eventually found him outside a stationery shop, happily playing computer games. I was fuming, brought him home and whack the hell out of him. He did not retaliate, except to say, 'I am sorry, Dad'. But after much probing, I realized that it was a 'Talent Show' organized by his school and the invite is for every student's mummy. And that was the reason for his absence as he has no mummy..

Few days after the caning, my son came home to tell me, the kindergarten has recently taught him how to read and write. Since then, he has kept to himself and stayed in his room to practise his writing, which I am sure, would make my wife proud, if she was still around. 'cos he makes me proud too!Time passes by very quickly, and soon another year has passed. It's winter, and its Christmas time. Everywhere the christmas spirit is in every passer-by...Christmas carols and frantic shoppers....but alas, my son got into another trouble. When I was about to knock off from the day's work, the post office called. Due to the peak season, the post master was also on an edgy mood. He called to tell me that my son has attempted to post several letters with no addressee.

Although I did make a promise never to hit my son again, I couldn't help but to hit him as I feel that this child of mine is really beyond control. Once again, as before, he apologized, ' I'm sorry, Dad' and no additional reason to explain. I pushed him towards a corner, went to the post office to collect the letters with no addressee and came home, and angrily questioned my son on his prank, during this time of the year. His answer, amidst his sobbing, was : The letters were for Mummy.

My eyes grew teary, but I tried to control my emotions and continued to ask him: " But why did you post so many letters, at one time?" My son's reply was: " I have been writing to mummy for a long time, but each time I reach out for the post box, it was too high for me, hence I was not able to post the letters. But recently, when I went back to the postbox, I could reach it and I sent it all at once...

"After hearing this, I was lost. Lost at not knowing what to do, what to say....I told my son, " Son, mummy is in the heavenly kingdom, so in future, if you have anything to tell her, just burn the letter and it will reach mummy. My son, on hearing this, was much pacified and calm, and soon after, he was sleeping soundly.

On promising that I will burn the letters on his behalf, I brought the letters outside, but couldnt help opening the letter before they turn to ash. And one of the letters broke my heart....

"Dear Mummy,I miss you so much! Today, there was a 'Talent Show' in school, and the school invited all mothers for the show. But you are not around, so I did not want to participate as well. I did not tell Dad about it as I was afraid that Dad would start to cry and miss you all over again. Dad went around looking for me, but in order to hide my sadness, I sat in front of the computer and started playing games at one of the shops. Dad was furious, and he couldnt help it but scolded and hit me, but I did not tell him the real reason.

Mummy, everyday I see Dad missing you and whenever he think of you, he is so sad and often hide and cry in his room. I think we both miss you very very much. Too much for our own good I think. But Mummy, I am starting to forget your face. Can you please appear in my dreams so that I can see your face and remember you? I heard that if you fall asleep with the photograph of the person whom you miss, you will see the person in your dreams. But mummy, why havent you appear?"After reading the letter, I cant stop sobbing. 'cos I can never replace the irreplaceable gap left behind by my wife....

Like Father Like Son

The father 86 old and he had given most of his retirement fund to his son to pay for the mortgage and he left almost nothing for his living.

He had been having dementia for a few years. He could not eat properly and caused the dinning table a mess every time after his meal. His son’s wife was shouting loud and made complaints whenever she cleaned the table!

Sooner his son tried to put him at the corner of the dinning room, give him all kinds of disposable paper cups and plates such that his wife would not talk much about it.

The old pa took it not say anything as he is old and he has to rely on his son income to support him for a living, That is already very good not kicking him away at the street like some of the morons are doing in Hong Kong…

One day Old man’s grandson said told his parents the shop at the concern of the street he used to buy that kind of disposable cup and plate was closed, probably he had to buy a lot at better discount as from the whole seller.

His father felt strange and said, “Why? Son, Your Grandpa is very old already and he might not be able to live long, there is no need to buy so many at all!”

His Son said to their parent though grand father was old and it was more advisable to buy in preparation as one day his Father and Mother would one day in need this disposable stuffs…..

********************
The moral of this story is, how do you treat your father, will be expecting the same you child treating you sooner!

I do hope my daughters and son will not treat me this way!!

Food Posioning

Taiwan, a woman suddenly died unexpectedly with signs of bleeding from her ears, nose, mouth & eyes. After a preliminary autopsy it was diagnosed death due to arsenic poisoning death.

Where did the arsenic come from? The police launched an in-depth and extensive investigation. A medical school professor was invited to come to solve the case. The professor carefully looked at the contents from the deceased's stomach, in less than half an hour, the mystery was solved. The professor said: 'The deceased did not commit suicide and neither was she murdered, she died of accidental death due to ignorance!'

Everyone was puzzled, why accidental death? The arsenic is of the U.S. military for carrying rice seedlings H Gao. The professor said: 'The arsenic is produced in the stomach of the deceased.' The deceased used to take 'Vitamin C' everyday, which in itself is not a problem. The problem was that she ate a large portion of shrimp/prawn during dinner. Eating shrimp/prawn is not the problem that's why nothing happened to her family ever though they took the same shrimp/prawn.

However at the same time the deceased also took 'vitamin C', that is where the problem is! Researchers at the University of Chicago in the United States, found through experiments, food such as soft-shell shrimp/prawn contains a much higher concentration of - five potassium arsenic compounds.

Such fresh food by itself has no toxic effects on the human body! However, in taking 'vitamin C', due to the chemical reaction, the original non-toxic - five potassium arsenic (As anhydride, also known as arsenic oxide, the chemical formula for As205) changed to a three potassium toxic arsenic (ADB arsenic anhydride), also known as arsenic trioxide, a chemical formula (As203), which is commonly known as arsenic to the public! Arsenic poisoning have magma role and can cause paralysis to the small blood vessels, "mercapto Jimei"??, inhibits the activity of the liver and fat necrosis change Hepatic Lobules Centre, heart, liver, kidney, intestine congestion, epithelial cell necrosis, telangiectasia. Therefore, a person who dies of arsenic poisoning will shows signs of bleeding from the ears, nose, mouth & eyes. Therefore; as a precautionary measure,

DO NOT take shrimp/prawn when taking 'vitamin C'.

Help Others

There is too many stories of success, and too many sample of so called successful men been seen as celebrities in from of the publicity.
But how knows how much hard work they have been working and did they best they can make at the top of his peak in his career?

Imagine that you are the Vice President of the world largest consumer product group of business which has a capability of few Billions of dollar profit every year. And you work hard from eight to seven everyday and working at your tiny and crackberry for push mails after office hours! Imagine you had to talk to your beloved that sorry you had to leave for attend a phone conference during your vacation to Phuket or New Zealand?

When we you wife called you to the office asking when you could reach home for dinner, you were seem unable to meet the committed time to reach home afterwards! When you daughter shows you her examination result you could hardly hard to find 30 mins. of time for you to review with her result and give your comment on how she is studying. Sometimes you had hard time to memorize all the birthdays of your wife, mother, daughter and son. Do not mention anniversary of marriage.

On the other hand in front your handful good friends eye can show off our recent purchased Limited edition of Patek Philippe Complication watch or a skeleton Platinum Audemars Piguet perpetual calendar driven by a tiny and sophisticated Tourbillion? You had a pair of Rockport loudpskeakd weighed 250Kgf each, your new order Porsche twin turbo car?!

Well, is that an insignia of success? Is that the ultimate target that you would expect an appreciation from your friends, customer, supplier, friends and people you meet at restaurant and banks? Is that the kind of recognition when you select you car makers type instead of the function of it, is that you care more about where your house is situated more than the house itself as to tell which part of Hong Kong you are from?

No, I do not think so, as you know you should be aware that the God will one day testify you when you are at Top of Peak of your carrier, your successful in digging more fortune from your investment and your job?

A friend of mine is a VP of a world largest business player of consumer communication device. What I know him is that he got the supreme power to mobilize resources from one supplier to another, he is well paid at USD$300K a year, he is a man of knowledge, capability, management skill and charisma. Who knows that one day all theses will be taken away as their European headquarters closed the operations in USA! And at the same time his house was totally demolished by torando! But I think he should be glad that one thing he was blessed with his family, everyone in the family is untouched in the accident, they can start all over again. Who know one day he can be a CEO of a fortune 500 company, Who knows of he will be the mayor of the City?

All we have to do is to take a brake when we reach the top of peak in your career, try to figure out what if I would be CEO of a Company, what’s the next target? And what if I reach the new target then, what else I can do to make my fame, money and power be expanding?

Hold a while a think if that is the target of your life, you should move on in their direction, however, are there some more meaningful things you have not done yet…?

How you seen you daughter grown up and get marriage with her beloved boy friend? Did you feel regret that actually you had made mistakes in some of the decision that caused a lot of people loss of their jobs and their families went into trouble for years? Do you think that you should help to create more job opportunity for the society when you are the Powerful CEO? Mayor of a city or a wealthy celebrity of the society? Did you try to give away some of your possession or asset that could possibly helping other families living much better without any effect to your quality of living? There are still a lot of thing we have not accomplished…

Well, Chinese tradition is to try to keep the power and Asset and pass on to his son and daughters. But does it help them at all? Yes, If I were them probably I do the same., but I would leave some of them for the other people who I even Never seen, known them at all, As God said, to give is better than to Take..

Recently God took two lives in our companies, one by the H1N1 and one is unknown, could not wake up one Saturday morning, aged 30 , single…
PHD holder…

Well, Today we are still alive, try to do something helping other people in need and take a few seconds in the morning on what we should do helping people in the Day.

Congratulations to those who were born in 40's, 50's and 60's

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE1940's, 50's, and early 60'sFirst, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.

They took aspirin, ate century eggs, salted fish, salt eggs and bean Curb, raw egg products, Sardines sliced pork from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer. Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

We never washed hands and never had soap for hand washing and had never heard of SARS, HiN1, HiN2 or H1NN!!

We eat cockroaches, spider, swallowed new borne mice… we did no get stomach trouble.
We go beach learning swimming alone, we did not get drowned, I Went to Kowloon City to watch the drugs addicts on how to “take” their opium and heroin, and I did not get on it.

We ate rice with lark and soya sauce in winter, a lot of eggs, but seem we had no cholesterol problem. Probably we did not have KFC, MacDonald, Pizza Hut, or Burger King too much at that time.

We ate butter not plastic as we put a lot of butter onto the bread, a lot of sugar into the milk tea but we did not have any diabetes. May be we had a lot of walking and a lot of sweat all day outside the house.

I walked to School everyday about loom from Ngai Tau kok to Mongkok Queen Elizabeth School in order to save 40 cents to buy toys, only till now I know that was a great training to my heart and cardiac system.

As children, we would hardly have experienced ride in cars at all till I was 20, we had not seen any car accidents as we had no air bags.

We drank water from the park hose and NOT from a bottle. As we did not buy water in bottle in that time, No one I know bought water, we went to toilet in the park and drink like a fish after the game.

As I did not know what Supermarket or Seven Eleven as we did not have. Only we could go home for boiled water. That took half an hour on foot.

We ate a lot of moon cakes, no one stops us and no one get problem after the moon cake, Nowadays, no one can afford to take 2 double yolk Moon cake a day We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight.

because......WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our hand made go-carts out of old prams and then ride down the road at Caine Road, only to use our foot as the brakes. We went up hill catching spider for collection, never afraid of being bite.

We went to the Big World Cinema for watching movie at HKD0.2 a movie Sunday Morning. I can still remember all the stories of the movie, though it was black and white but we find a lot of excitement. Now you can watch any movie at home VOD, of DVD, but seems that is too easy to get and too easy to forget!

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo Wii , X-boxes, no video games at all, no video/dvd films, No mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside to the gathering places and found them! We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were noLawsuits from these accidents. We eat a lot of oily stuff in the Chinese New Year but never filled enough, we were hungry as we played a lot.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

We went to Peddler Street to watch other school girls real underwear and bet the colour for ten cents, Not like those stupid chap that watch it on the monitor sceen on internet...nowadays!

We poured water and stuffed used battery cells into cars exhaust pipe and watched from far and see how the water jet and smokes would be generated! Especial treat to thought who drove a big car with a Star in the front.

Our parents didn't invent stupid names for their kids like Chloe, Kitty, Yuki Victoria…but father in church assigned us names with Peter, Paul, Mary and Sandy!

Mother went to church for milk powder and raised a family of 2 boys and two girls! We did not feel shame as that was very Delicious milk drinks.

We had public exams and we had no one go for suicide for unexpected result. I was happy to go for technical school as I did not feel shame not able to enter The University of Hong Kong and programmed to be lawyers, Doctor and or Architect after three years.

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good. And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were.

Same Service

Same Service ·
A husband visited a marriage counselor and said, "When we were first married, I would come home from the office, my wife would bring my slippers and our cute little dog would run around barking.

Now after ten years it's all different, I come home, the dog brings the slippers and my wife runs around barking."
"Why complain?" said the counselor. "You're still getting the same service!"

Love Your Enemy
From his death bed, the husband called his wife and said, "One month after I die I want you to marry Samy." "Samy! But he is your enemy!"
"Yes, I know that! I've suffered all these years so let him suffer now."

We will meet again

Dame Vera Lynn, DBE (born 20 March 1917) is an English singer whose career flourished during World War II. Nicknamed the "The Forces' Sweetheart", the songs most associated with her are "We'll Meet Again".

The singer who 70 years ago recorded an evocative reminder of home for British soldiers fighting far away on Monday became the oldest living artist to have a No. 1 record in Britain when her album "We'll Meet Again -- The Very Best of Vera Lynn" took the top spot.

This week's British album charts were a veritable trip down memory lane -- the Beatles had 17 records in the top 100, Michael Jackson had five appearances in the top 100.

Lynn first recorded "We'll Meet Again" in September 1939, just as World War II broke out. She wasn't the soldiers' favorite right away, said Terry Charman, a senior historian at London's Imperial War Museum. But as servicemen all over the world heard Lynn on the radio -- and many saw her in person, in far-flung places like Burma and Egypt -- she became the voice that would remind them of home.

At The Peak of your career

On the other hand in front your handful good friends eye can show off our recent purchased Limited edition of Patek Philips Complication watch or a skeleton Platinum Audemars Piguet perpetual calendar driven by a tiny and sophisticated Tourbillion? You had a pair of Rockport loudpskeakd weighed 250Kgf each. That could possibly be driven by a transistorized power amplier that can deliver of RMS 1,500W per channel without sweating?

And at the same time his house was totally demolished by tornado! But I think he should be glad that one thing he was blessed with his family, everyone I the family is untouched in the accident, they can start all over again. Who know one day he can be a CEO of a fortune 500 company, Who knows of he will be the major of the City?

We have to take a brake when we reach the top of peak in your career, try to figure out what if I would be CEO of a Company, then what’s the next target? And what if I reach the new target then, what else I can do to make my fame, money and power to be expanding?

Hold a while a think if that is the target of your life, you should move on in their direction, however, are there some more meaningful things you have not done yet…?

How you seen you daughter grown up and get marriage with her beloved boy friend? Did you feel regret that actually you had made mistake in some of the decision that caused a lot of people loss of their jobs and their families went into trouble for years? Do you think that you should help to create more job opportunity for the society when you are the Powerful CEO of a company? Major of a city or a wealthy celebrity of the society? Did you try to give away some of your possession or asset that could possibly helping other families living much better without any effect to your quality of living? There are still a lot of thing we have not accomplished…

Why we can not make big money in Stock Market

Why do you find gets difficulties in getting rich from the stock market?
If you said that you could and or you are able to , I should say “ congratulations! As far a is known that 95% of the people are losing money in the stock market counting in a period of say 5 years. And only a small amount of people can actually make money through investing in the market.

When Most of the middle class Hong Kong people has some kind of mortgage with more than 30% of his income goes into the bank for his flat he is staying or the sending falt he buys for his second wife… so he had to spend the rest say 30% the money behind for his monthly expenditure.

For an instance an average manager of monthly incoming of HKD$100,000.00, he might use up 30% for his house, 30% for his wife I supporting the family in all kind of bill, children schooling fee, food, clothier and other expenditure. He might have to spend 8-10% on the family incurrence, 5% for himself.

He might have to keep some in bank for saving say 15%, so what the left behind is about to invest or to speculate on the stock market, is just 10% of his income, say HKD$10,00.00 if you are so keen I keep up with the unpredictable stock market.

So if you were good at understanding the rule of the game on some good concept stock say 1211 BYD beginning of the year, at that time it was about HKD$14.00 a shear, you bought HKD10,000 all into this share and now you would have a share value of approx HKD48.00 as it has been pushed up for 480% in 7 month. This is a very exceptional sucessfully case. And if you are unfortunate that buying some dead stock, you may lose money.

If you dare and are able to understand the market so well then some of you may get to roll up you money in many folds, but as I mentioned you basic premium is small, you would not get rich. And on the other hand, who has such kind of energy to keep up with the stock market? Chinese saying, we lose money because we have won it… When you get some appreciate on paper, your greediness would woo you releasing more of your saving into this swelling stock market, who know eventually you will be the one who can make profit on it?

I had better advise not to spend too much time, money in it.. Life can be short and can be meaningful if you can use your time with your beloved wife, daughters or perhaps more time with you friends. Do enjoy life on what you have … there is no one get starved in Hong Kong…. but there are a lot of unhappy people in Hong Kong, probably they really do not know what to do after works!

Man's best Friend

These are two of the beautiful dogs that my colleague Kim has, one is 3 years old Golden Retriever Pat and other is 10 months old Husky Pat.
There are about 400 Milions dogs on Earth, and I think there is an average 0.9 dogs is US families and 1.2 dog in Belgium! HK, less than 0.02 per family! Without a dog at home, it seems that the family is missing something, and A man should have a dog to tell he is a man who cares and I am sure man used to keep a dog would be a sentimental gentleman.
In Hong Kong Dog meat is illgal and you will be put in jail for eating dog!
In Korea! That is another world!! Man!
So Kim is the few lucky guy that he can have two huge dogs in Hong Kong.

My Little daughter love dogs too, and if I have some saving one day, I hope I can afford to keep a dog for her!

See how beautiful they are...

Music and your health

Dentist surgery
Dr. Ng asked me what sort of music I would like to listen to prior to commencement of dental surgery at his clinic at Hoi Ping Road some 22 years ago. He selected the music I requested and turned up the volume control on his Mark Levinson amplifier and it was then time to commence with the removal of my badly positioned wisdom teeth.
He later told me that playing a piece of the patients favorite music during dental surgery was an effective way to reduce the pain and associated symptoms associated with the operation.
There have been extensive studies undertaken on how music can improve milk yields in dairy cattle; and possibly improve the quality of beef by broadcasting music in the cattle sheds. It has also been suggested that music can increase the size and quality of fruit crops.

So how can music affect the human body? According to research reported at the American Society of Hypertension meeting in New Orleans.; listening to half hour of music each day may significantly lower your blood pressure.

Experiment
To test this hypothesis, a selected group of 48 adults aged between 45-70, who were taking medication to control mild hypertension, took part in the study. Of these, 28 listened to 30 minutes of “rhythmically homogenous” classical, Celtic or raga music daily while practicing slow, controlled breathing exercises, the remaining 20 participants, serving as the control group, made no changes to their daily routine.

Blood pressure readings taken after one and four weeks from the start of the study showed that systolic blood pressure- the top number in the blood pressure reading’; had dropped significantly to those participants listen to music. In contrast, the control group exhibited only small, non-significant reduction in blood pressure.

There is no prejudice in the type of music chosen as different people have different taste in music appreciation

An unconfirmed report states that heavy metal and rock and roll music can actually kill a plantation; whereas music of the classical category can actually help to stimulate bigger and more beautiful flowers.

The Effects of Music
Even though the term music therapy is fairly new in modern society, the concept and practice of using music to assist the healing process can be traced back to antiquity. One particularly interesting example, from our earlier history has been written about the Russian Envoy Count Kayserling. The Count suffered with miserable insomnia and to help him with this ith problem, he asked Johann Goldberg, a local musician to play for him at night.

The Count had informed Bach about his terrible problems with sleeplessness and had asked Bach to compose some music that might help him relax and get to sleep. Goldberg seized his harpsichord and played the music composed for the Count by Johann Sebastian Bach..

Soon Goldberg was playing the musicBach had composed for the Count’s to help him with his insomnia. . The Count arranged for Goldberg to have rooms nearby so that he could call on his services when required. The Count was so happy with the beneficial effects of this music that he rewarded Bach generously . Today this music is known as the Goldberg Variations.

Music and Mood
Think about any scary movie that you have ever seen i.e jaws! and consider the most frightening part of that movie. Try to imagine the same scene without music. . What happens to the movie? Suddenly it becomes far less frightening. The dramatic music creates the mood of fear. Music creates the mood for many settings. People who create the “atmosphere” of a movie are very aware of the powerful effect of music.

Music also sets the tone for sporting events, parades, restaurants, shopping centers, television shows, advertisements, dances, sleeping and many other places and activities. Music selection is usually precise and purposeful and selected to help create the correct ambience for that particular setting, . In many cases i.e. whilst out shopping at a major department store, you may not be aware of the music that is playing. However, , but the music has usually been specially selected for shoppers to encourage them to spend more time enjoying their shopping experience. If you go to an all-you-can-eat restaurant, you will observe different music than if you went to a very nice restaurant. In the all-you-can-eat place, the music is usually louder and peppier because the owner wants you to hurry up, eat, and get out of there. In the nice restaurant, the music is generally soft and peaceful encouraging you to stay and order more food because you don’t pay for it until you are finished.

MacDonalds
MacDonalds have done their own research, which shows that we eat according to the speed of the music being played. Therefore, when a restaurant is busy, with a queue building up, McDonalds plays fast music, thus ensuring that the customers will eat quickly, and leave the restaurant sooner, freeing up more tables for incoming t customers.

Bed time music
Whilst sleeping I try to listen to some classical music at low volume levels. One of my favorites includes selections from “ Your hundred best tunes” which was compiled following a national audience poll on Alan Keiths BBC Radio 2 on Sunday nights,. . The top ten all time classics include : No.1 Sibelius : Finlandia, No. 2 Johann Strauss: Casanove- Nuns’ Chorus, No.3 Mascagni:cavalleria Rusticana- Intermezzo, No. 4. Zeller Der Obsersteiger- Don’t be cross, No. 5 Beethoven Symphony No.”6” Pastoral Shepherds’ Thanksgiving after the storm…
I dubbed these pieces onto cassette tapes and let it play continuously until I fall asleep as I believe it helps repair my brain cells while I am sleeping…and doing some defragmentation on my brain hard disk!

I feel very passionately about the power of music to affect us, our mood certainly, but also physiologically. The rhythm in music can affect our pulse and respiration, improve relaxation and improve our general state of “well-being”. . By “Performing” music an individual can have a very effective means of expression. It’s also great for our self-esteem and confidence.
One CEO in a USA MNC had also his own special way to reduce “stage fright “ prior to giving a presentation on the company’s annual report to the media. He listened to his best favourite music loud in that morning and this had the effect of helping him deliver his presentation .
Music can be listened to, used as a means of expression, or performed.

You don’t have to be a “musician” to enjoy playing a musical instrument. We use percussion instruments from all over the world, and can improvise with many common house hold items i.e hammer handles make great claves, broom handles and dustbins (and lids), saucepans, small branches from a tree, plastic bottle filled with rice, hardboard as a “wobble board” – just a few examples! Sing! How many of us sing in the bath/shower – wonderfully uninhibited and expressive. From many media statistics and stress management studies it is generally agreed Classical music is one of the best forms of music to calm us, invigorate us us and comfort us…

Recommendation
I would highly recommend that everybody should spend some time listening to great music whilst we are sleeping, dinning, or typing our weekly report, it helps to improve health, slow down our heart rate, reduce our blood pressure… and most of all, helps to prepare us for another long day at works…in the company. Go for it!

H1N1 and the Prevention

Most N95 respirators are designed to filter 95% particulates of 0.3µ, while the size of H1N1 virus is about 0.1µ. Hence, dependence on N95 to protect against H1N1 is like protecting against rain with an umbrella made of mosquito net.

Tamiflu does not kill but prevents H1N1 from further proliferation. H1N1, like other Influenza A viruses, only infects the upper respiratory tracts and proliferates (only) there. The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/ throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions.

Contact with H1N1 is not the problem but proliferation is. While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps - not fully highlighted in most official communications - can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. 20 seconds Hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications)
2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face
3. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water. H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
4. Have enough rest.
5. Keep you lung strong by having fresh air exercise like running or jogging.
Go hiking on week end rather than to go shopping in densely populated areas like Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway bay.
6. Eat Balanced food, take more fruit and drink enough water, avoid oily and heavy food.

Etiquette

During a good manners and etiquette class being held for young children, the teacher says to her students:"If you were courting a well educated young girl from a prominent family and during a dinner for two you needed to go to the toilet, what would you say to her?"

Mike replies: "Wait a minute, I'm going for a piss."The teacher says: "That would be very rude and improper on your part."Charlie replies: "I'm sorry I need to go to the toilet, I'll be back in a minute."The teacher says: "That's much better but to mention the word ''toilet'' during a meal, is unpleasant."

And Little Johnny says: "My dear, please excuse me for a moment. I have to go shake hands with a personal friend, whom, I hope to be able to introduce to you after dinner. "

This is no way that we can control the natural aging, exercise can maintain certain level of lubricating on our joints, lung and heart, maintain certain elasticity on our muscle.

But one thing we can control is Laugh, we laugh we have to cooperate 312 pieces of muscles in order to laugh and it pushes in aired into our lung. Many Scientific test proves that Laugh can prolong life and make us younger! believe?

Afghanistan Custom

In Afghanistan, women customarily walked 5 paces behind their husbands.

Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women seem to, and are happy to maintain the old custom.

A Westerner approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do you seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?'

The woman without hesitation said,"Land Mines!"

Three Cases of Reversed Role

First Reversed Role
We have seen a lot of reversed role on China and USA and China and Hong Kong!
Why do I say so,,,, USA is a typical successful experimenter of Capitalist of many years and China has been an honest followers of Communism until September 2008 that Lehman Brothers melt down and collapsed. Chinese people has save habit and USA is almost zero Saving before The Lehman Brothers, after that Crisis, USA people is trying to save up more money and China has less saving as before. Probably due to the gigantic stimulus plan that Wen had exercised to support the economic growth target for 8% GPD in 2009. Some economic analyst saying that China has becoming capitalist and American are migrating from Capitalist to Communist!

Second Reversed Role
Day before yesterday there was a serious traffic accident that a mini bus crashed with a bus and the bus was not able or stop until 20 meters of the pedestrian rail had been smashed and stopped the mini bus moving further, with more than 20 people waiting for bus just like the Bowling pins were hit and wrecked. Two of the ladies were immediate killed and many of the injuries were sent to hospital, Amongst them there was a 26 years old lady who was unable to stop bleeding., It was wired to hear about as hospital operator asked the bleeding girl father for cash of HKD$21,000.00 for issuing prescription of a medication FACTOR VIIA to stop the blood! This is inhumane and unacceptable at all. Who told you to ask for money when people are caught in a life and death situation?
This is a shock to me as I though this kind of madness request was only happened in some dog hospital in China. Well this is another revere role between Hong Kong and China.

Third Reverse role, in 2018, The Shanghais middle classes family would have employed US house keepers and many of the Philippines family would have recruitedd an Hong Kong domestic helper… This is the third reverse of role!

Dental Care and Cancer!

Further to my life calculator, some one question asked me why if we uses dental floss would add 1-2 years to our life.

As you may not aware that dental hygiene is very important to our health. According to Times magazine 2004 had mentioned the invisible killer is the periodontal diseases are closely related to pancreas cancer and cardinal disease!

If we had periodontal diseases, that will have high 1.5 times having stroke than the other, and 64% having chance to get pancreas cancer, higher change to have premature baby and lighter baby.

With a close link established between osteoporosis and periodontal disease, similar treatment and management of the disease might minimize tooth loss and the destruction of the alveolar (jaw) bone," reported Palomo. By Case Western Reserve University,

So make up your mind to take care on your teeth hygience.
I have been used to clean my teeth 5 times a day since I was secondary school student.

Early in the morning, I clean once more thoroughly.
After breakfast, one more time lightly
After lunch if possible clean one time Medium work
After dinner one time and clean your teeth thorough before going to bed!
Gargle thoroughly and rinse completely with water as toothpaste contain some minor toxic substance that will not kill you in day , but harmful for your body!

Use Dental floss wax one as Recommended by Hong Kong Top Dentist TC Ng as the wax will cover the tooth which by the tooth paste active ingredients such as fluoride or xylitol can not protect that area for removal of disease gingivitis.

Man, A lot of knowledge on teeth!
